Obstrüktif uyku apne sendromu

Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) is a frequent disorder, playing a significant role in the etiopathogenesis and progression of many cardiovascular diseases. Identification and treatment of this syndrome may enable improvement in the treatment of many cardiovascular diseases that are unresponsive to therapy, and may even help prevent development of many diseases that are still of unknown etiology. This review aims to revisit the relevant literature on the occasion of recent inclusion of OSAS among cardiovascular diseases by the Ministry of Health.
