Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia in a Patient with Long QT Syndrome: Due to Pacing?

A patient who received a dual chamber implantable cardioverter defibri llator due to long QT syndrome presented with frequent shocks. High dual chamber pacing rate was found to be responsible for triggering frequent premature ventricular beats which initiated polymorphic ventricular tachycardia. Possible mechanisms were discussed.
