With the advent of highly active antiretroviral therapy, the life expectancy of HIV patients has greatly increased.1 Here we report the 11-year follow-up of a HIV-seropositive patient who underwent heart transplantation in 2006, with emphasis on the management challenges of complex drugs interactions over time.
