Case Reports Vegetation Due to Streptococcus Viridans in Pulmonary Artery in a Child With Patent Ductus Arteriosus

The authors deseribe a case of patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) complicated by infective endarteritis due to a vegetation in pulmonary artery in a 14-year-old child. Only few cases of vegetation in the pulmonary artery shown by echocardiography have thus far been reported. All patients with PDA have infective endarteritis risk, regardless of the ductus size.
