Summary– Septal reduction therapy (SRT) is the accepted therapeutic option for symptomatic hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM). At this time, surgical septal myectomy is the gold standard method, but alcohol septal ablation is an acceptable alternative treatment for patients with suitable anatomy.
